Dear Friends,
When you Customize Your Life, you will influence others for good; no doubt about it. And as you grow, people notice the change, they see the tangible results. Maybe they will start coming to you to find out how they can design their own ideal lives, too.
This is the point when you experience the joy of committing to influence others for good; to not just be a bystander, but a true, inspired leader!
The thing is, most important leadership skills cannot really be taught academically or over a speech. They must be lived and experienced by close personal contact. To be a good leader, you must surround yourself with other successful leaders. You will mistakes, learn, and grow through those experiences.
We are lucky to know once such leader, RD Saunders of The John Maxwell Leadership Foundation.
If you don’t know about them yet, this organization creates top leaders all over the world. They believe in marrying influence and resources with desire and engagement. The Maxwell Transformation Process (MTP) they teach encourages leaders to see positive change in their countries and communities.
As stated in their mission:
As individuals are transformed,
the families and companies where they live and work are changed,
the culture of homes and organizations improve, and
the transformation results are real and measurable.
The John Maxwell Leadership Foundation started with a vision that their organization could train 1 million leaders. But they have shot way beyond the one-million mark.
Today, over 7 million leaders have been trained since 911.
Recently, Tony sat down to chat online with RD Saunders about the huge challenge of leadership. One of the main things discussed is how investing in personal growth is never wasted.
“If we can find a way to meet a need, we will always be needed,” says RD, “It is important to realize that people will not always believe what you say, but they will always believe what you do.”
This is a great candid talk with someone who has since firsthand how folks change from being ordinary to extraordinary and helping folks along the way.
He challenges us to ask ourselves two questions:
We also address some of the stumbling blocks that leaders and CEOs will face, and what pitfalls you can watch out for. It’s a great hour of insightful nuggets, including:
In this episode of Customize Your Life, you will also learn practical steps to force yourself to grow and develop the character who will be a successful leader—such as building a strong and loyal team who keep you check.
In a world where everyone is looking out to get more for themselves, those who live to serve others are a rare treasure.
We hope you enjoy this chat and that it encourages you to invest in your own growth and greatness. Because, whether in business or your personal life, you must be adding value to other people’s lives.
Thank you for watching—let us know in the comments what your favorite parts of this conversation were!
